An Adventure Begins in Pacific Grove

I’m sitting in Pacific Grove, California, with my mom and daughter at the beginning of an adventure. We are here so my daughter can attend a marine biology camp in Monterey, and I am beyond excited for her. It’s been such a journey to get here, and I’ve had to pinch myself more than once when I look at my mom and daughter and realize that we are getting this time together.
Daily Tarot Practice with the Motherpeace Deck
As I continue to work on my daily tarot practice, I brought out my Motherpeace deck. This deck has been with me for so many years and was the mainstay of all of the readings I gave at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival during the years I worked there. I shuffled the cards and thought about my day - what do I need to consider for the day, and what should I be aware of? As these questions crossed my mind, a card flew out of the deck and landed on the floor. It was the Fool card. I laughed, put it back in the deck, and continued on. I went through my routine of drawing cards and pulled out the 8 of Wands, the 2 of Wands, and the 3 of Discs. These cards were all fine, but I realized it was the Fool card that carried the message.
The Fool's Message: Embrace the Adventure
What did the Fool say to me? "Go on the adventure! Be present in the moment and follow your nose wherever it leads you. Be open to approaching the world with fresh eyes, a new perspective, and a willingness to walk on your hands, sail off the cliff into the universe’s hands where she will catch you and carry you on through this moment and into the next. Don’t rush down the path to the destination, but savor every step along the way."

The cards aren’t meant to be rigid or prescriptive - they are meant to open your mind to what you may not immediately see.
