Spring Reflections: Finding Balance in New Beginnings

Spring always feels like a fresh start. The snow melts (though in Minnesota, we still have fresh, dense snow), tulips push through the cold ground (maybe in another month or so), and suddenly everything seems possible again. This week, I pulled three cards for guidance through the season ahead: the 7 of Cups, Temperance, and The Fool. Together, they tell a story that helps frame things with fresh eyes. In such a tumultuous, chaotic, and uncertain time, what gifts might be found?
The 7 of Cups shows endless choices. So many possibilities, ideas, and paths call out. It's overwhelming and exciting and decisions seem nearly impossible. How to choose? What's really worth our time?
That's where Temperance comes in. This card says: slow down and stay grounded. Find the balance among all those things pulling at you. Temperance isn't about rushing or forcing things. It's about giving yourself permission to move at your own pace and trusting that you don't need all the answers right now. These cards together remind me that the answers and the decisions don't have to be made today. Take stock of what could be, but also, make time and space for thoughtfulness and care.
Then The Fool joins in with a simple message: "Adventures abound!" The Fool encourages us to take that leap, try something new, or follow our curiosity even when we're not sure where it leads. Spring is perfect for this - for shaking off winter's heaviness and stepping into something lighter and more spontaneous.
So here we are at the edge of a new season. The choices are waiting. Balance is possible. And the adventure? Say yes.
Happy spring, friends!
